Everyone we dealt with went out of their way to answer our questions in a thorough and friendly way.

Despite rain and chill, the campus was beautiful. The trees and red brick building and southern architecture were grand.

Campus was very clean. Some of the older buildings were old and needed a little remodeling, but well maintained.

Campus Visit Notes for Vanderbilt University:
Visit Description:
This was my first official college visit (as a parent) and I was very impressed with Vanderbilt. Had a great community feel to it, loved the traditions, the honor code, the beauty of the campus and the warm reception we received everywhere we went.
We stayed two nights and toured not only campus but Nashville as well to get a good sense of the area. Heard the admissions talk, took the official student-led tour, ate in the cafeteria with the students, sat in on two classes and wandered around quite a bit.
We both fell in love with Vanderbilt and Nashville and it's definitely on the top of her list.
Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:
Stayed at Marriott on campus, great location. Better than average Marriott.
Dining/Restaurant Recommendations or Comments:
Pancake Pantry near campus for breakfast, great sweet potato pancakes, and great service.
Sunset Grill for dinner, near campus, great food and drinks.
Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):
