Visit Activities:

Information Session: Yes - Got to hear a Vassar student talk about the college, and the administrator was very helpful in answering questions. Learned quite a bit. They also gave out the course catalog, which was helpful.

Campus Tour: Yes - It was raining hard, so we tried to stay inside, but the guide knew what she was saying, and was able to answer all questions. A very nice campus, overall.

Classroom Visit: Yes - I sat in a physics for nonphysics majors class and the profshowed me all the the technology they used. Then, in a class lull, I got into a nice discussion of politics with the students. Great overall.

Campus Visit Notes for Vassar College

Visit Description:

I am definitely considering it for the 4 year chem master's program. Although when I mentioned I was thinking of a science major, it seemed to horrify all the poly-sci and history majors. I love their open course policy, where all you need are 3 intro courses, 34 total courses, and 17 not in your major. Also, they have an amazing med school acceptance rate, which also mattered to me. I loved the place, and it is high on my list.

Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):

A couple nice stores on campus, but as an avid PC user, the mac-centric campus kind irked me.
