Visit Activities:

Admissions Interview: No - Not available to juniors making "spring break" trip.

Information Session: Yes - We visited during spring break; info session was so large, it was divided into two groups in large auditoriums. Lacked any intimacy and was the basic type of info you could get from college website.

Campus Tour: Yes - Students lead to major campus sites such as library, etc.

Classroom Visit: Yes - School will arrange if you contact them in advance. This was the best part of my daughter's visit.

Our visit was not great due to crowds at spring break making college tours. Try and visit at an off time to really experience student life and classes.

Beautiful area surrounds campus with community garden, places to walk.

Town is not anything special. The residential campus would be the focus.

Visit Description:

Again, arrange a class visit and go at an off time when crowds are not on college tours to really experience Vassar. Spend time in the library or dining area rather than on a tour where all info is available on the website.

We did a day trip.

The campus food seemed basic salad bar experience.

Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):

Rented a car.
