Visit Activities:

Information Session: Yes - The admissions officer and student who presented were very friendly, outgoing and humorous!

Campus Tour: Yes - Rainy and cold, but the tour guide was pretty good. The pathway that leads South 40 is really neat because it has "graffiti" where students can advertise their cause or organization.

Classroom Visit: Yes - Class sizes were fairly small and the lecture rooms seemed pretty standard. We didn't get to sit in on any classes unfortunately.

Although there was a lot of construction going on, the buildings looked very new outside and well kept. It was cold and rainy the day we went so we didn't see washu at its apex.

Dorms were very nice and tidy. The lounge area of the dorm buildings had nice ~30" TVs and a laundry facility. We were told they were cleaned every 2 weeks by housekeeping.

I didn't see any of those blue button lights people have on most campuses.

It made me want to go there. A lot places to eat on campus and has everything you need in a college. The student organizations really fight for their causes.

Off-Campus:

The area around campus isn't too exciting compared to New York. We didn't go down the loop but we drove around the village and some small bistros.

Campus Visit Notes for Washington University in St. Louis

Visit Description:

Visit was fine except Sheraton hotel forgot to change the clocks to Daylight Savings Time so we arrived at WashU 40 minutes too late for the info session so we took a later one. The Mealcard was nice, I got a Turkey and Swiss sandwich and a croissant. I didn't get a chance to sample the other food there since WashU is known for its great food. But it was a great visit nonetheless!
