Visit Activities:
Information Session:
Yes - I just listened, as there were very many anxious parents there who asked basically every question under the sun. But the WashU ppl were very informative and patient.
Campus Tour:
Yes - I highly recommend one instead of wandering around by yourself, as you do get to go inside the buildings and classrooms without feeling like a creeper.
Classroom Visit:
Yes - We peeked in a huuuuge chemistry class. It seemed pretty intense, but the lecturer was very engaging.
Campus:
Friendliness/Courtesy of Students:
5 - Excellent
All the people I met were very nice
Friendliness/Courtesy of Staff:
4 - Very Good
I didn't see very many of those, but they seemed pleasant enough.
Appearance of Campus:
4 - Very Good
The gothic architecture missed some flying buttresses :)
it was actually very nice and neat and organized.
Building/Facilities Maintenance/Cleanliness:
4 - Very Good
There was some dust spewing from construction, but the rest of it was lovely.
Dormitories:
4 - Very Good
The suites seem like heaven, but the traditional dorms are just so-so
Security/Safety:
4 - Very Good
I was walking with my host back from some late-night class and the place was pretty deserted, but she seemed pretty relaxed. Dont remember seeing any blue lights though.
Overall Campus Impression:
5 - Excellent
I loved the campus. It seemed very walkable (compared to my gargantuan state school) and aesthetically pleasing :)

I only ever saw the park, and i like parks
City/Town/Community:
4 - Very Good
They have all my favorite stores, so thats all i really needed. and apparently there's quite a few nice restaurants.
Campus Visit Notes for Washington University in St. Louis
Visit Description:
I actually had a wonderful time there. I felt very welcomed by my host, and got a really nice impression of washu life. Im a sucker for nicely maintained grounds, and the grass was so nice and green.
the tour was informative, but our group wasnt the most animated bunch. i guess that cant be helped.
