Visit Activities:

Information Session: Yes - Talk was given primarily by an adcom and engineering prof. There was a student but she only talked for a limited time. Rushed for time so no Q&A.

Campus Tour: Yes - Beautiful campus. Lots of green lawn. Buildings are beautiful with a few ugly ones as an exception. Our tour guide was very good and very honest about things. The tour was very, very good.

Ranks just behind Vandy (admittedly biased) based on the schools we have been to. It has a beautiful, garden like appearance. The buildings are great. Lots of construction and new amenities.

Not a big fan of St. Louis and the general vicinity. The Loop was nice but looked like it could be very sketchy.

Campus Visit Notes for Washington University in St. Louis

Visit Description:

We really liked our visit and I'm sure our S will be applying. WashU students get free public transportation which makes it nice for getting around off-campus. One of the nicer schools we have looked at.

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:

Hampton Inn downtown area. Only a 10 minute drive to campus.

Dining/Restaurant Recommendations or Comments:

Ate at St. Louis Haus Pizza on The Loop. Honestly wasn't impressed.
