I didn't go into the city, but there are two metro stops on campus (plus bus stops). All city transportation is free as a student. St. Louis isn't the best college town, but it's not [View Full Report] |

The rest of the surrounding area was nice. It is a school in the middle of a city so it had a downtown city atmosphere but it appeared to be very safe. [View Full Report] |

Overall with Six Flags, float trips, Cardinals, Rams, Zoo, Museums and tons of shopping and eating nearby, Wash U is in the middle of it all. [View Full Report] |

Like I said, didn't get to explore, but it seemed to have the safety of suburbia with the benefits of a large metropolitan area. [View Full Report] |

St. L, while not being the greatest city ever, has all the attractions of many major cities. Some students can go without even feeling like theyre in a city if they want, but free metro rides there. [View Full Report] |

Not a big fan of St. Louis and the general vicinity. The Loop was nice but looked like it could be very sketchy. [View Full Report] |

St. Louis is a good city but not as grand as Chicago/Boston. Also, I'm impressed by WashU's commitment to improving the areas farther from campus (the surrounding areas are already nice). [View Full Report] |

I have some family in St. Louis, and I've been very impressed in the past. There are some parts that I'd avoid, but nothing I would be too fearful to traverse. [View Full Report] |

The Loop is a town full of hippies (it's similar to Berkeley). People smoke pot out in the open. Good restaurants there, and lots of weird free concerts. Interesting shopping places as well. [View Full Report] |
