Campus Visit Notes for Yale University:
Visit Description: I've been on 14 college tours, and I didn't expect Yale to top the list. I had heard bad things about New Haven, and I didn't really know anything about Yale, besides the fact that it was an ivy league. Within my daylong visit, Yale immediately rocketed itself to the top of the pack. It was a combination of the intense enthusiasm of the student body, the beautiful campus, and the sheer resources that the administration is willing to expend to help the students. True, I will be attending Yale next year, but hopefully I'm not too biased in this description. To prove this, I will say that Princeton was my first choice throughout my junior year. When I went to Princeton, which is just as rich and is pretty much the same quality academically as Yale, I HATED it. The students were standoffish, and the campus itself seemed so isolated. Yale seemed welcoming and relevant. Basically, this was the best visit ever.
