New Haven Hotel is a block or two from Yale's Old Campus, has decently friendly staff, and will rent a single room for ~$150 a night. |

We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Milford - about fifteen miles away. We had a bad experience and ended up invoking the 100% satisfaction guarantee. |

I have visited Yale twice, and on both visits, I stayed at the Marriott in Trumbull, CT. Pretty nice. |
