Snotferatu- you have a darn good chance at CalArts if I do say so myself. You should try visiting Animatedbuzz Forums :: Index and look at their portfolios as that's a CalArts animation geared forum.

This is my portfolio for Character Animation at CalArts (I'm deferred so I'm already in) The first 5 pieces or so are from my last year's acceptance.

ValArts [deux]: If I could make a super portfolio...

I may also apply for experimental with the same portfolio if I have time to.

Uhhh, I'm not currently applying anywhere (I'm already in college, majoring in Linguistics) but I've started to get really into photography and I'm trying to work on a portfolio-esque type deal. If I develop enough I want to try to go to some kind of photog MFA program.

I'm generally interested in nature/landscape photography.

Im still a junior, but i plan on applying to a bunch of schools, first and foremost being SVA, RISD, MICA, and RIT for Photography, maybe photojournalism, since RIT makes you decide

Photo portfolio here =)

Applied to SVA, Pratt, St John's, and a few other schools with.

Montserrat and St. John's accepted it on NPD, and Pratt really didn't enjoy it... lol.

Be as brutal as possible!... (well.. maybe not THAT brutal..)

Risd help please

I know this is not the right forum but could someone help me

I was thiking about transfering to RISD, I got waitlisted last year and was close to getting in, but didn't, next on the list, with was a big suprise and confidence booster b/c my art teacher at the time basically said I couldn't get in and didn't like my work, she didn't actually say it but her expressions towards my work were not so good and she always had favorites

Well.......

I was woundering does RISD give Financal aid to Transfers and have they ever given a Full Schalorship, if so what did the person do to deserve it/ get it?

Alos I know you can take classes at Brown and Transfers as of now are not admitted into the dual degree program but has anyone ever got a degree from both schools with out offically being in the dual degree program becasue I would really like to get one from both, I have a plan if not but it would save time and money if transfers were allowed

Has anyone Transfer or not been accepted to RISD yet?
and if so can I see your portfolio.

hiddenvoice, your photos are pretty, but you should consider using ones that say more or have a stronger mood. flowers are inherently pretty, try to do something that shows off your skill as a photographer. also, try to include a wider variety of pictures, too many band pictures can start to look the same after a bit. dont forget to pay attention to the edges and shapes created in your pictures, think about composition. best of luck!
