Hey!

I recently toured Washington and lee and really liked it. The campus was beautiful and I really like the idea of going to a small liberal arts school. However, I have heard rumors that smaller schools like W&L are more prone to having cliques and a clear hierarchy of sororities and fraternities. For those currently attending Washington and Lee, does this seem to be a noticeable issue? I currently go to a small private high school were the cliques are clearly pronounced, and although I don't have a huge problem with it, it would be nice if college were different!

A lot of people buy into it, a lot of people don't; one way or another the social hierarchy is there, it's real, and it will undoubtably affect who your friends are post rush.
