Any chances for me?

Hi everybody,
I'm an intl' applicant (from Vietnam)

SAT: 1940
SAT II: Math I 710, Math II 780, Chem 740 (hope the adcom only consider Math II)
TOEFL: 104
Rank: 15/257 (I'm studying in a high school for the gifted)
GPA: diff from US's GPA system, so I had better not list it here
Major: Chem Engineering (kind of "not mainstreamed"

I know my scores are terribly low, but I just want to clarify if there's any (even little) chance for me. Thank you.

People on the W&L board don't tend to respond to "chance me" threads. That doesn't mean you have no chance, I think it just means that it's really hard to predict what W&L admissions will do. Last year I think they accepted something like 15-16% of applicants. That means they rejected an awful lot of qualified students. It was also the most selective year they've had as far as I know.

The limited information you give about yourself looks pretty good to me. I don't see anything there that suggests you wouldn't have a decent shot. Go for it.

You state your preferred major is Chemical Engineering, so I'm curious as to why you wouldn't be more focused on engineering schools like MIT, or GA Tech, etc. Why a liberal arts degree?

I apply to MIT too. But I choose W&L because of a personal reason
