Seems like there aren't very many cougars here....
I will be attending WSU next year! It was a backup school for me but I recieved a regents scholarship so the fact that I don't have to pay tuition changed my mind. lol
Hoping that maybe there are some other future cougs hanging around here...
Hello - I'm the parent of a future Cougar! WSU is the only college he wanted to attend so he is looking forward to next fall. He plans to major in Civil Engineering and also join Air Force ROTC.
Any of you from the Olympia area? We live in Lacey.
We are from out of state and will be visiting for the first time on Friday. Daughter has been accepted to the Honors College and is very seriously leaning toward attending provided that she is happy with what she sees.
We are from the Seattle area. Daughter was accepted to other schools (UW, Western) but she chose WSU and we are thrilled! We all loved the school when we visited, and we are looking forward to becoming cougar fans! I think WSU is sometimes overlooked by people and underrated, but it really is an amazing place.
UW is just too massive and impersonal and not very safe. Daughter felt very comfortable in the Palouse, and having lived in the city she is looking forward to something different. Go Cougs!
We are also waiting to hear from Honors... Some people have already been accepted. Perhaps spaces will open up, since some students who were accepted to Honors will end up going some place else to college.
I received a letter from the Honors College early December. It says that if I don't accept the invitation by May 1, they will offer my spot to someone else. Also, e-mail the department. They are very quick to respond. WSU was not one of my top choices, but they're very generous with their academic scholarships--and visiting the school, albeit in the middle of nowhere, made the decision much easier.
^ same story for daughter regarding both the Honors letter and scholarships making the decision easier. Also while we may not have checked out WSU without both of these, it seems like a great college to us now even without these added perks.
i have lived in california all my life and im looking at wsu, majoring in kinesiology/athletic training, but i am very hesitant to apply because of the weather. is it truly raining and gray most of the time? im used to warm california weather and i wanted an opinion from someone who goes there or lives in washington
