What does the letter look like?

I was wondering if anyone knew what the acceptance, wait list, and rejected letter reads? Like what does it start with?

I am so nervous for tonight...

@ravenscroft- did you by any chance go to Ravenscroft in Raleigh? Just curious!

    Yup. :P

    Where are you from?

Well I currently live in MD but lets just say I'm really familiar with the Raleigh area. Used to date a guy from Ravenscroft actually...

Congratulations! On behalf of the Admissions Committee and the faculty of Washington University, I am delighted to offer you admission to the Olin Business School Class of 2017. Our decision reflects our respect for your academic and personal achievements, and our confidence that you have much to contribute to our university.

We have sent you an admissions packet by mail, which includes instructions regarding the procedure for responding to our offer of admission. Please note that your admission is contingent upon the successful completion of your senior year of high school. We would like to see your academic performance continue at the same level of excellence you have exhibited up to this point. You must also complete the classes in which you are currently enrolled. Please be sure to send us your mid-year and final transcripts when they are available.

If you are an applicant for financial assistance, you will receive information from Student Financial Services in a few days. If you have any questions about financial assistance, please call Student Financial Services at (888) 547-6670 or (314) 935-5900 or email the office at financial@wustl.edu. Please share all financial assistance information with your family.

Once again, congratulations on your admission to Washington University. We hope your decision will be to join us--you have wonderful contributions to make in and out of the classroom.

Do you ever hear the "Raisen's Crotch" jab? I went to OLL and that's what we used to call you guys.
  • BlueUkiyoBlueUkiyo Posts: 408Registered User Member

    *Raisin's Crotch*, that is

Nope, never heard that one. Doesn't surprise me, though.

I'll be honest, I've never heard of OLL. I just googled it and immediately found out what it is, but I didn't know what it was until tonight.

The waitlist letter is curt but nice in its own way, I guess:

The Admissions Committee has decided to offer you a place on the wait list for the freshman class entering next fall at Washington University. If you would like to accept a place on the wait list, please read our FAQ page and submit your response by clicking on the "Wait List Response" link by May 1, 2013. You will also receive notification by mail.

While we are not able to offer you a place in the class at this time, we would very much like to work with you if there are openings in the class.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call any of us in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
