What are the chances to get off the waitlist? What kind of classes are those? If you can't get in this time, would you get a priority next time the class is offered? Would not getting into those classes affect your ability to complete your major on time?

How deeply waitlisted are you, and did you register immediately when you were allowed to, or did you wait? I've never been waitlisted in a class over my 3 years here when I registered for the class immediately when registration opened, only when I tried signing up for a course after the semester had already started.

My D got into two classes and the rest she was waitlisted. My S didn’t have problems; he was done with registration before Thanksgiving. Is there anything you could do? Do you have to take those courses now? D has to take two of her waitlisted courses during this fall, so I hope she could fix that.

I've had 2 classes where the room was changed and the class size was increased due to the number of people on the waitlist who talked to the professor and their advisors. Be active in trying to get off the list, or trying to get something changed.

You can check on the course listing website - https://acadinfo.wustl.edu/WUCrsL/WUCrsL.asp - to see if classes you want have openings.
