got accepted to bio undergraduate at arts and sciences. How easy is it to transfer to the engg school to pursue a biomed engg major? i plan to do pre-med and believe biomed engg will offer other options later after graduation.
I'm going to WashU next year and did exactly this back in January (I was accepted ED). It was very easy to do, I just emailed the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at admissions@wustl.edu, and they changed it for me right away. I got a letter in the snail mail a week or so later confirming the transfer.
I met a student at Wash U a couple of weeks ago, he said he transferred right before signing up for classes from Business to BiomedEng... (as an entering freshman)
You don't really have to transfer into engineering in order to take BME courses. You can stay in artsci and so long as you fulfill all the bme reqs, you can still get the major
