I know this has been asked before, but it never gets many responses so I'll try again. Which classes and professors are not to be missed? I think your suggestions would be very helpful to incoming freshman. Thanks!

My d is not an upperclassman, but has LOVED her German classes with Russo. Says she has the most amazing communication skills (in English or German, and not related to either) of anyone she has ever encountered.

Most students love their languages classes; my two kids enjoyed them most of the time (D is studying two different languages). D likes one of her teachers, but he wont' be teaching again next year (he was denied tenure)

Well, first of all, the problem sets are insane...especially the bioelectricity ones in the beginning of the year. Those took like 12 hours to finish a.ka. our entire sunday. They also assume that you took AP Bio/Chem/Calc etc. in high school which could make it a little difficult if you haven't taken those courses to do the problem sets and understand the lectures. It does get easier later on, but you will still get some craziness. There was one problem set that required you to know essentially all of AP Stats. -_-
The lectures are really fascinating though. Every class you will get a different lecturer who will talk about cutting edge research in areas like MRIs and biomaterials.

Overall, there will be a lot “***..i am going to cry” moments, but you really do learn a lot.

ughhh. My school doesn't even offer AP bio, chem, or stats. Lovely. This will be fun... still looking forward to it though!
