How does WashU structure its science course progression for pre-meds? I ask this b/c I've seen schools have very different ones.

For the first year, is it recommended that freshman take both Gen Bio and Gen Chem, or is it only Chem?

Please Change the Following in order to represent WashU's course progression

Freshman Year: Gen Bio and Gen Chem (this is what I am most focused on)
Sophomore Year: Organic Chem
Junior Year: Upper-Level Science Course, Physics
Senior Year: Upper-Level Science Courses

Freshman year:
1st semester: genchem+genchem lab
2nd semester: genchem+genchem lab+bio (bio lab is included)

Sophomore year:
1st semester: orgo+bio+(maybe physics, depending if you get in)
2nd semester: orgo+bio+orgolab+(maybe physics if you got in 1st semester)


Junior year and senior year:
it really depends on your major, but most premeds would take upper level science classes. Oh and physics if you didn't already take it.

I would advise against the physics-and-orgo-at-the-same-time route. Take it (physics) either Freshman or Junior year.

well i think it depends...117 and orgo will be killer, but 197 and orgo (considering you can only have Bernadowitz for it to work out in your schedule) shouldn't be too much of a problem...or else I'm screwed
