To try out for WashU orchestra you will need to sign up immediatley at the WashU Music Department which is halfway between South 40 and Main Campus next to the music library. They usually put the sign up sheet just inside the main front door. Many people audition (especially violins) and so you might want to practice ahead of time because you wont have that many days to practice before auditions begin. There are two segment auditions for strings (im not sure about winds) and the audition consist of you playing your personal piece and sight reading, which depends on what level they think your at. There are good practice rooms in the music building on the top floor (however they get to smell because of the saliva from the brass dripping on the floor) Anyways GOod Luck
