would I fit in? (chances)

I know WashU will be my 1st or 2nd choice uni. I want to apply ED but am afraid of losing out on finaid. And I want to apply for their merit scholarships.

chinese female from TX

GPA 4.0 UW, 4.77 W
Rank 2 of 828

SATI: 1550; 790m, 760v
SAT new: 2270; 740m, 740cr, 790w
SAT combined: 2340 (I'm correct in thinking WU combines top scores?)

SATII: 760 mIIC (may retake), 720 USH, 780 chinese (will this hurt, with me being Chinese and not getting an 800?), 680 chemistry (will def. retake!)

AP Scores
sophomore year: Stats 5, CompSciA 5, World Hist 4 (self study); AP Scholar
junior year: CalcAB 5, English Language 5, Chemistry 5, USH 4, Spanish Language 3 (horrid teacher); coulda been AP National Scholar junior year... damn Spanish
senior year schedule: (all GT where applicable)
AP English Lit
AP Calc BC
AP Government - AP Macroeconomics
AP European History
AP Physics C (thinking about switching to B)
AP Art History
PACE - unpaid internship program

ECs
Academic Decathlon/Octathlon - 4 years (after next year)
Academic Challenge/Quiz Bowl - 2 yrs
FBLA - 4 years
HOSA - 1 year
Key Club - 3 years
NHS - 2 years
Spanish Honor Society - 2 years
Mu Alpha Theta - 4 years
Who's Who, National Honor Roll, the usual stuff

Awards
Octathlon - medaled in all subjects except for 2, overall regional winner individually
FBLA - leadership conferences, won district twice - International Business then Parliamentary Procedures, won state twice - International Business then Marketing, went to nationals twice - placed once in Marketing
AP Statistics Award
more useless stuff

Volunteering
before 9th grade - library 25 hrs
before 10th grade - hospital 160 hrs, other hospital 54 hrs
before 11th grade - University of Texas Medical School in Houston 100 hrs

Jobs
before 11th grade - restaurant hostess 40 hrs/wk
during 11th grade (yeah I had a busy/bad year) - Kumon 10 hrs/wk (weekdays)
before 12th grade - Baylor College of Medicine research internship 40 hrs/wk

Activities
Chinese school graduate lol
piano - since age 7 (may make CD for supplement)
webdesign (hobby), proficient in XHTML, CSS, PHP

Downfalls: That SATII chem grade (I dunno how demented I was feeling that day... and I got a 5 on the AP chem...); spanish AP grade (which I think I'm hiding...); not many leadership activities (I don't think the people who do have positions do much anyway)

Hooks: um... I dunno... well I know many people have jobs, but I'm not sure if many take all AP classes, do other stuff, volunteer, and hold down a job? maybe they do, and I'm not special xP
uh... immigrant family, not exactly a wealthy family back in China to support them, parents only had money in their pocket and shirt on their backs
also, living in a high salary area, probably minimum is 80K (MINIMUM!) while I'm in single parent home with around 30K...

Thanks! Any advice as to what to do (ED/RD/merit scholarships) would be appreciated!

Living in a high salary area isn't a hook. If anything that's a bad thing for admissions.

its not how much stuff you've got. Its how you use it. just try and bother washU a lot. go to every meeting. talk to the admissions staff. I know everyone on the admissions staff and they all know me by name (i think ) . That really helps a lot
