Alright I'm over at Southern Illinois Univeristy (SIUE) right across the river. Does Olin let in people with no work experience? What would my chances be with a 3.7+ GPA and a high GMAT? On USnews it says Olin has a 52% Acceptance rate (I know business is not really strong at all at Olin, but I like WashU) so would I have a chance with no work experience? They seem to send alot of people to Investment Banking in the STL area, and thats what I would like to do.

Olin is top 20 undergrad and top 40 grad. I wouldn't say that's "not really strong at all."

I doubt you would get in with no work experience. More to the point you would be missing a lot of the MBA experience to do the program with no work experience. Keep in mind that the ibanks hire MBAs because they have work experience as much as because they have MBAs. Get some work experience first - it is a MUCH better idea.

What MBA experience would I miss w/o work experience? I really don't understand the whole work experience. I would rather get the school out of the way first, then having to go back later on.

The curriculum at the MBA level is best appreciated once you have work experience. It also kind of doesn't matter whether you like the idea or not - recruiters at the MBA level want the experience. Otherwise they hire undergrad business majors.

Would just a regular job count as work experience? What ever I could get w/ a Business Admin degree.

What do you mean "regular job?" To give you and example, school teachers have a tough time getting into MBA programs. It should be a business related job - sales at the very least. Any trainee type job might work. Being a waiter or something won't do it.
