Student Population

How is the student population at Washington University? Is it very diverse, accepting of gays, self-segregating, etc? I'm really interested as to how minorities deal with being at Washington University, especially when it comes to self segregation, and the treatment of the gay population. I'm really interested in what current students think, and it's even better if you're a minority or gay. However, any current student's input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I found the students to be pretty diverse, and very accepting of other cultures/lifestyles (I think I had more friends that were minorities-and all different ones-than I did caucasian friends). In general, it seems than minority students spend just as much time with students of other races as they do their own. I can think of one group that somewhat self-segregates, but it's mostly a social thing, and there aren't any negative feelings whatsoever.
