I had my interview for wellesley (with an alum) and let's just say that it didn't go so well..
-the first thing she told me was to not apply there "too limited in point of view"
- I asked her why she chose it and she said it was because her bf was at a nearby school and she wanted to be near him
-the whole time she was suggesting other schools that she thought were better for me to apply to
Does anyone know if I would be able to request another interview?
that does sound really strange. alum interviewers are done on a volunteer basis, so you would not expect that... i would call admissions and explain what happened; that's really really odd...
Agreed, that's really weird. My alum interview was nothing like that, but I did have something that I thought was kind of "out of character" at another school. I gave the admissions office a call, mostly because I didn't want the interview report to hurt me. They were really nice about it. I'd call the school and let them know something wasn't quite right with your interview!
