How significant are athletics as an extra-curriculur activity for admission to women's colleges?

Are you being recruited by Wellesley?

As a d3 school, being a recruit will not grant you a definite "in". However, if you show that you've dedicated a good deal of time and passion to the sport and how it has shaped you into a unique individual + you have a great letter of rec from the coach, it might give you that extra push if you're "on the fence".
