Your SAT 1 score is the same as the median for last year's (2012) class. I don't know about GPA. Your extracurricular activities and jobs look very good to me, so you should have a very good chance of getting in.

GPA and rank info for Wesleyan

This is from the 08-09 Common Data set so it's for ATTENDING freshmen (not admitted, which I'm guessing is higher):

Percent in top quarter of high school graduating class 91%
Percent in top half of high school graduating class 99%
Percent in bottom half of high school graduating class 1%
Percent in bottom quarter of high school graduating class 0%
Percent of total first-time, first-year (freshman) students who submitted high school class rank: 51%

Percentage of all enrolled, degree-seeking, first-time, first-year (freshman) students who had high school gradepoint averages within each of the following ranges (using 4.0 scale).

Percent who had GPA of 3.75 and higher 71.0%
Percent who had GPA between 3.50 and 3.74 19.5%
Percent who had GPA between 3.25 and 3.49 5.7%
Percent who had GPA between 3.00 and 3.24 2.7%
Percent who had GPA between 2.50 and 2.99 1.1%

oh, wow where did you get that?
I don't think 3.75 is very accurate representation though because most people applying probably have over a 3.75.

I looked at USNews (my counselor has premium edition) for entering class statistics and the average UW is 4.0 GPA (i dont know if that's really accurate!) because there's bound to be things that would skew it towards at least 3.9..

Here is where I found these statistics (from the horse's mouth): www.wesleyan.edu/ir/cds/cds2008-09.pdf

This is for enrolled Freshmen. I doubt that the unweighted AVERAGE of applicants or of accepted students is 4.0. That's, well, perfect.

There are multiple ways of calculating GPA, and many high schools not in the US do not calculate GPAs at all. For example, I was in the IB program, so I don't know what my GPA is.

Here are two more statistics that I should have put in (but do read the pdf from Wesleyan; there's a lot more stuff):

Average high school GPA of all degree-seeking, first-time, first-year (freshman) students who submitted GPA: 3.95 (out of 4.0)
Percent of total first-time, first-year (freshman) students who submitted high school GPA: 72.59%

So it's really, really high, for sure, but it's not 4.0.

Yeah, that's pretty intimidating. Princeton Review says average freshman high school GPA is 3.95 too.
