-volunteered as a camp counselor at a progressive, eco-conscious summer camp in Southeast Asia (where I've spent every summer)
-volunteered/raised money for an orphanage in Southeast Asia (visit every year, spend every Christmas day painting the grounds of orphanage)

Other Noteworthy Things:
-12th generation organic farmer (live on a family farm, family has been in america since the mayflower days)
-proficient in Indonesian and Spanish (as well as English)
-had interview: seemed to have went very well

I think you sound like a highly competitive candidate. I don't remember the SAT subject test requirement, but I think the ACT will cover that. Wes sounds a great fit for you. Good luck!
