My Chances for Middlebury, Dartmouth, Brown?
I'm a sophomore, male, and I go to a well known private school near Cleveland Ohio that has a good reputation among colleges.
Honors Physics (usually taken by juniors, I jumped ahead)
Math 2 Honors (highest math available)
Western Civilization 10
AP Environmental Science
AP U.S. History

Freshman - 3.56
Sophomore (predicted) - 3.3-3.4
Junior (predicted) - 3.7-4.0
-Science Olympiad (Captain)
-Academic Challenge (potential Captain)
-Anderson Scholars - A program at my school - I am doing independent research with a Neurosurgeon at University Hospitals (University is the name of the area), I can also get funding from the school, and at the end of my senior year, I can get my work published in a scientific journal or present it to a panel of experts.
-Junior Year - Founder of Rock Climbing Club
-Co-founder/Head of club where we read research articles from note-worthy scientists and discuss them each month - akin to book club
- Science Reporter for school newspaper
My school tutors kids at a local inner-city school once a month
-Last summer I did a 3 week course in Neuroscience at Brown University
-This summer I am doing independent research at University Hospitals
Do you think I have a shot at Middlebury, and smaller Ivy Leagues such as Dartmouth and Brown? Will my grades for sophomore year affect my chances, even if I have a great GPA in my junior year? Thanks for your feedback!
