Chances of getting into Umass Amherst?

I have a 3.78 gpa and a 1500 sat score. I'm in National Honor Society, and I have great extra curricular activities.

I volunteer a lot at my church, and I get involved in volunteer activities through my school. Also, I live in MA, if that helps at all.

Please help I really want to know if Umass is worth applying to!

Your gpa seems good. You may want to try and retake the SATs. The average critical reading score is between 530-630. The math average is between 560-650. Being a Massachusetts resident helps. If you can get your SAT scores up a bit I think you'd have an even better chance.
Try applying you never know!

Everything is good, except you SAT score; aim for the 1700s. Have you tried taking the ACT's? You might do better.

Yea I may take the ACT's. My sat score doesn't reflect my GPA at all, so I'm hoping colleges will look past it.

A TON of kids apply to Umass Amherst, so if you want to be competitive, raise that score. You have a good chance at Dartmouth though.

edit: Umass Dartmouth
