WELL. My ACT score is not that great, I really have to bump up the reading. I am going to retake in october, hopefully to bring the composite up to a 32.
I have to take the SAT 2, probably have only one chance at that..maybe 2. Also I am going to retake SAT Chem and Bio...bump those up to 750+, 780+ respectively.
I have a plan on applying EA to Stanford (and probably EA at GaTech too..it's public so I can do this right?), and also applying earlier (not EA, ED, etc; just before the deadlines) to OSU and MSU because they have a rolling admission. I will probably get in, but I am really interested in their honors colleges/scholarships/FA which is why I would do so. I feel like I probably won't get into stanford, but I want to try anyway.
So I was thinking of applying ED 2 to HMC but I have some problems:
1. Let's say I got in...it's really expensive
2. I am interested in majoring in biology, but I don't know if HMC is a good place to go for it.
3. If I did bio, I might have to do premed...which I don't really want to do in 1st place.
4. It's really hard to graduate from their w/ a GPA good enough to get into a decent grad school.
I do like Comp. Sci., but I have never been given the opportunity to learn it....I would LOVE to learn it though. I don't know if being a girl helps my chances at all...but if it does, should I apply ED 2 or RD? Would my chances change much??? It seems that girls applying to HMC have a higher acceptance chance..is it only for prospect. CS majors? or all? I would probably put undecided because I really don't know yet..
*also, when applying to HMC, do they require ALL ACT scores? in case I'm still heavily interested, I would rather send my October ACT scores to them free, instead of paying*
