Also, I am currently taking college class at UCLA (Neuropsychology)

If I manage to work my butt off and handle those APs next year,
assuming that I would get at most 1~2 Bs
Am I in pretty good shape for colleges above?

I think all of your schools are Match to Low Reach situations. Statistically they are very similar.

BC - Probably the "easiest" of your choices. BC doesn't list a lot of stats but it's believed to be very close to USCs profile (see below). I believe it has the 2nd highest admit rate of your four schools and therefore more of a match situation. The exception to this would be if you're planning on applying to the undergrad business school. The rumor there is that the statistical profile is higher and the admit rate in the mid to high teens.

Tufts - Statistically probably your toughest school though it has a moderate admit rate. Low reach

CMU - Very heavily oriented to the math and sciences but has the highest admit rate at 30%. They are very math score oriented. Get a 750 on the Math II SAT and an 'A' in AP Calc and I think you'll do fine.

USC - You are statistically the average admit for the 2011 admission's year. http://www.usc.edu/admission/undergr...rofile2011.pdf. Normally I'd call that a match but last year USC switched to the CommonApp and saw an approximately 25% increase in applications. This drove done the admit rate to roughly 18.5%. Normally schools in the second year of the CA can see an additional apps rise of up to 10%. That would drive the admit rate to ~16%. I have to believe that the statistical profile has stayed the same or possibly increased slightly; regardless, to me any school with a sub-20% admit rate should be treated a reach.

I wouldn't be surprised if you got into all four of the above schools, but given the increasingly competitive nature of admissions I also wouldn't be shocked if you got shutout at all four. Add a couple of true reach schools as well as definitely adding a couple of safeties and one more low match.

Being asian might hurt you a lot honestly. It always does in admissions...regardless, Tufts and CMU are matches, and USC is match too

Yeah I hear that often.
Although I feel frustrated about such discrimination, I kind of understand why they would do it.
If they dont discriminate, Asians would dominate US for sure LOL

Also, another question.
Is the fact that most of Bs are from easier class a good thing?
for an example, if i got all a's and one b from regular English, GPA wise it would be
same as getting a B from AP class, which case would they prefer?
