| Chance me for the following colleges!
Hello! I am currently a senior for a top 10 public school in Massachusetts. I am currently in the process of applying to the following schools and would like to know if I am a possible candidate: Boston College, Boston University, Northeastern University, Babson College, Tulane University, University of Rochester, New York University, Syracuse University New House Communications Program, and Brandeis University.
About me: I recieve mostly A's and a few B's in courses. My GPA out of 6 is 5.12, my ACT score is a 30 out of 36, and my SAT score is a 1910 out of 2400. I am the lead singer of my band, have been involved in over 5 productions in my school's theater program, am a member of chorus and honors choir, participate in an exclusive improvisation on the spot acting organization, president of the Spanish Club, volunteer at a homeless shelter, tutor and assistant with my disabled neighbor (house chores). I have been a member of a recycling club from freshmen to junior year, ultimate frisbee club/team from freshmen to sophomore year, and I have worked two summers as a camp counselor at the YMCA in addition to babysitting. I was recognized as man of the year in the 2011-2012 school year at my high school, and am one of the student facilitators for the incoming freshmen class to help them with their adjustment into high school.
-Thank you very much and I hope some of you can help letting me know if I have a chance for these schools!

Thats really weird, i also have a 30 ACT and am applying to; BU, Babson, NEU!
Im pretty sure we should be good with the ACT, more serious candidates for NEU. Im applying to Babson ED because I have a kinda low gpa equivalent (and i love babson), I took IB. You should be a solid candidate! Rochester, Brandeis and NYU tbh you seem average to them.

I hope we both get in as well! Just out of curiosity which one of these schools are you going to E.D? I have heard NEU makes it harder to get in EA, so i'm keeping that for rd. Have you looked at bentley? It seems to be a good fit for you, I'm not sure why but there e.a acceptance rate is near 60% whereas their regular is 33%, just thought i'd let you know. (I assume you've heard of bentley before?)

I am actually not applying to any school E.D. I found out that it is almost guarenteed that one will recieve less financial aid if they are to apply to a school early decision because the school realizes how willing the student is to attend that college.. And that is not good, I am actually applying to UMASS Amherst, Northeastern, Babson, and Tulane University early action.. Bentley is a great school and I am considering applying there as well, funny that you mention! This whole journey to college is tiring me so much!

Hi! I think you'll definitely get into NEU, Tulane, BU, URochester, Syracuse, and Brandeis. Based on your scores, GPA, and ECs I think you definitely have a high chance to get into BC, Babson, and NYU!
Good luck!!

Thank you so much! I appreciate the positive feedback! My most interested schools are BU, Brandeis, Tulane, and BC, however I am worried that I will fall a bit short for schools like BC, NYU, University of Rochester, Brandeis and Syracuse BU is also a school I am nervous about

I don't really understand the 6 point grading scale but as far as I'm concerned I think you should be fine for Syracuse and Tulane, I don't know much about Babson. BU I think you should get in and i would go ahead to say that Boston College, Rochester and NYU and reaches but NYU is more of a low reach. I don't know much about Brandeis but hey good luck!
Chance me?? Chance an extremely worried student |

I don't know much about the college app process, but I have a friend who went to NYU and he didn't exactly have stellar grades.

Thanks for the comment! I am hoping I can get into these colleges, but recently I decided to possibly take away NYU from the process
