I was right on the money for two students rather than one. But this is just the beginning of the chancing season.

I'd say that Tulane will be a reach. Class of 2011 had a middle ACT range of 29-32 and your GPA is a little low... Plus, with their trends it most likely went up with last years class! Good luck though! I'm also applying to Tulane!

Thanks a lot for your input, elizabeth! Tulane sounds like a great school… just very expensive, and from what i've heard, they don't have the greatest financial aid. Worth a shot though. Good luck to you! What's your ACT score?

I would remove the UCs, as an out of state student it is harder to get in than what is worth. Vandy/USC are awesome schools, but these will be very high reaches as well. If you like these types of schools, more realistic reaches would be Patriot League schools like Lehigh/Lafayette/etc. I would also apply to matches like Maryland, Delaware, and Clemson (although these are publics, they are more friendly to OOS students).

I think Miami (OH) and OSU seem like great in-state choices.

I have a composite of 30 but would have a 32 if they super scored! I also have a 3.9 unweighted GPA! It's such an amazing school, but I recommend visiting!

Timetodecide - - Wow. Excellent feedback! It's comments like yours that keep this site as strong as it is. I will absolutely look into those schools and will reconsider the UC's. Thanks!

Elizabeth - you sound like a great applicant for Tulane! Great test scores. I'd love to visit, but I'm thinking that I'll wait to see if I get admitted before I visit.. very competitive. Thanks for you input

After researching some schools from the patriot league, they seem to be a bit too small. I'm trying to apply to bigger schools - NYU being the largest private university and USC to be quite large as well. Schools like Lafayette and Lehigh are a bit too small for my tastes.

On another note, I'd still like to hear from other rgd my chances! Any opinions are appreciated, even if it is just on one or two schools. Thanks!
