Interesting Question

Okay, so I was wondering if my chances of being accepted to a top tier college diminishes if other students in my class are applying to the same school with similar stats.
Thanks!

I'd agree.. that's interesting! My guess would be that it depends what state you're from… if the school has few apps from that state, your chances would probably go up

Well, if you are from North Dakota, I'm pretty sure most schools are looking for you (that seems to be the running joke at all the college visits I go to, they have 49 states represented, if anyone knows a kid from North Dakota, they'd be happy to let them in). Following that line of thought, schools like diversity, so if you are maybe one of 20 in 2000 from a state, you definitely have a better chance, if my opinion is at all informed, which it may not be.
