Can I get into Pitt

Im really nervous about whether I can get into Pitt or not if the title doesnt make it obvious enough. I am currently beginning my sophmore year in high school right now; my freshman year didnt go so well, I got a 3.6 qpa at the end of year. But I was and currently am a part of the chess team, debate team, and the National Junior Honors Society as my extra cirriculars. I desperately want to become a doctor and Pitt is my first choice for undergraduate school-obviously I want to go to main campus haha. I havent really taken that many honors courses so far but I plan to take a lot of APs next year and get As in them. In terms of the SATs i also plan to take them this year as well..So basically bottom line, I was just wondering what I would have to do to even have a remote chance of getting into Pitt judging by where I stand now..

You should be fine with a 3.6. Can you get into the BS/MD program or honors college with a 3.6, no, but Pitt main will be a match with those grades. Focus on increasing your rigor (honors classes are important), focus/put your time into a few ECs instead of being scattered, try beginning to have leadership roles and try and up your GPA a little bit. Catria is right about the SAT score, though I would aim for a 1900-2000 if I where you.

Could I have a chance at the BS/MD program or honors college at this point if I were to work hard these next three years??

Without more of a record and scores, it's too early to tell. And it isn't the actual hard work that will help; it's the grades and scores and recommendations that will be the result of hard work that will matter. If you work hard but don't achieve, you won't get in (and shouldn't, because you won't be able to succeed there).

The BS/MD program is beyond competitive, I believe you need a 1450 on math and critical reading just to apply. Like OP said it is too early to tell, but my guess is no based on your current stats.
