| Do you think I'll get into A&M?
Hello I am a Senior at a College Preparatory School in Dallas and I have recently applied to A&M with a major for Business Administration. Although I am not automatic acceptance I think my chances are fairly high, I would like to see what ya'll think.
GPA 88.48 Junior year GPA 91.07
SAT: 1750
Employment: This is my hook. I actually work 3 jobs. The first is a work grant program for my school to help pay for tuition. Its 100 of extra community service each year ( in addition to the 180 we have to do over the 4 years) for 7.50 that goes to our tuition. I also work simultaneously as a lifeguard and a Film crew member at AMC Theaters. (BOTH DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR). I have been with the work grant program all 4 years of high school, worked as a lifeguard since end of sophomore year and a film crew member since end of junior year.
I played football and bowling between freshman and junior year.
I took 1 honors class sophomore and Junior year and I take 3 AP classes senior year.
I don't feel like going into much detail but I am part of maybe 7-8 clubs, National Honors Society Junior Year, ATA Black Belt Award Freshman year.
I have 3 letters of recommendations from junior year teachers that I still talk to this year and had made A's in their classes. (History Theology English) I also wrote the third optional essay as well on Apply Texas.
What do you guys think? I know my GPA/SAT lack but I do spend a large portion of my time working and going to a private school, which is by nature more rigorous, as I have seen both sides. I would be very appreciative with some opinions as I wait for a letter. ( I applied last week so i should see something in 3-4 weeks)
