transfer from Air Force Academy to NYU & Cornell School of Hotel Administration

Sir/Ma'am,

It would be greatly appreciated if you can provide me some feedback on my chances of getting into NYU or Cornell school of Hotel Administration. My GPA right here at the Academy is 2.8 (right about average), but keep in mind that it is a service academy and there is A LOT more going on here than just academics.

1st Semester: 16 credits, 3.0 GPA

Courses : Calc 1 (B), Chem 100(C), Comp Sci(B), Beh Sci 110(B), Chinese 321(A),PhyEd-Boxing, Military class.

2nd Semester: 22 credits, 2.5 GPA

Courses: Calc 2 (3 credits, C-), Chinese 322 (3 credits, A), Eng 111 (3 Credits, C+), Engineering (3 credits, B), Military History(3 credits, C), Physics 110 (3 credits, C), reading Skills (2 credits, Passed) PhyEd-Water survival(1 credit) Military Class (1 credit)

keep in mind, Doolie (Freshman) year is toughest the first year at the Air Force Academy. This is what our daily schedule looks like: Wake up at 0545, clean the room (has to be spotless), hygiene, get in Uniform, memorize menu for the day:morning/noon meal and dinner, days until graduation for all classes, officer of the day, senior officer of the day, a few pages of quotes, planes, historical facts, and etc before showing up to minutes.

Minutes: 0615, basically you have about 2 cadres screaming at you while you're doing an 8 count-body builders; while reciting half a page of quotes. Mess up on one word and it starts all over.

Morning Formation: 0655 March to breakfast

Breakfast: 0715-0735, eat at attention and can't look at your food, but, still gets yelled at for chewing too many times, reaching out to get ketchup without asking for permission to do so, etc...

Classes from 0750 to 1145.

Noon Meal Formation from 1155 to 1230.

Noon Meal :1230-1:00pm

Military class for 25 mins after lunch

Afternoon classes goes from 1:30pm to 4:30pm. (some get out at 3:30 depending on their schedule)

Tranning Session from 4:45-6:00. it's basically a whole hour of getting yelled at by upperclassman 2 inches away from your face while reciting quotes and low crowling/push ups/ doing body builders and etc.

Dinner at 6:15-7:00.

Back to room. Shower, and you can finally sit. Can't lay on the bed until 7:50 because the door has to be open until then. After dinner, you still have HWs to complete.

I served as a class representative and the earliest I went to bed was at 10:45 (happened twice) and I don't remember going to bed before midnight other than the 2 occasions I mentioned.

High School stats:
4.0 GPA. Took mostly honors and AP classes. Winter/spring track team captains, starting fullback on football, Club president for world of difference, National honor Society, National Science Honor Society, SAT: 750 Math and 590 Verbal. Interned at an accounting firm and worked as a store manager for my parent's restaurants.
4 on AP Stats
4 on AP euro
3 on Ap world

I know my current GPA of 2.8 is not great but it's right about average at the academy.

what do you guys think?
