Chances of Admission - A&M College Station

I am a high school Senior who placed in the 26% and got a 1320 Math + Reading score on the SAT. Take note, my school is fairly competitive and well-known for academics. I lack extracurricular activities, however, I have been taking some form of music lessons (piano/guitar) throughout my term in high school. Also, all of my core classes have been PreAP/AP and I obtained 4's on the AP US and World History exams. I forewent taking the AP English III test due to my interest in the Dual Credit classes offered at my high school. At the moment, I have A's in the college level course. I haven't acquired a job as of yet, but I am considering the idea. I am just shy of auto-acceptance with regards to class rank.
This worries me. Also, how important are the essays? Thanks for the time.

If your school is really well known like super famous then it's definitely okay to miss top quarter by 1%!

Just make sure to write a really kickass essay and try to stretch out those extracurriculars even if they're really little maybe get a teacher rec ?
