Chances for Rice

Hi CC'ers,

I am a senior in high school this year and trying to gauge my chances at Rice.

I have about a 3.8 UW and a 5.2 (on 6.0 scale) Weighted GPA.

I had 3 B's in Freshman Year, 2 B's and 1 C in Sophomore Year, and all A's Junior and so far in Senior Year.

I have a 2200 on my SAT, and got a 4 on AP Human, 4 on Calc AB, 5 on English 3, 5 on APUSH, 5 on Euro, but a 2 on Chem.

I have the most amazing Recommendation letters. From 2 teachers that love me, from a doctor I have mentored with, and from a professor at MIT.

But the best part about my resume are my extra-curricular activities,

1. Funded by MIT for two years in a row to build project for 3rd world nations. Each year receiving 10,000 from MIT.
2. DECA District Officer, Secretary of 4,000 Student District
3. State- Qualified for Debate
4. State- Science Fair
5. Published Research Paper in medical journal --- first author

But the most interesting I think is,

I own and manage a chain of frozen yogurt stores. With these stores, I have made over 1mil in revenue and 400k in profit.

My essays are damn fantastic.

What do you think my chances for RICE are?

Yeah, I think that you're probably in......especially if the MIT prof actually knows you.

Also, that research paper in the medical journal...wow. I think you can get into many places...
