    Your GPA is a little low for Vandy, Duke, and UChicago, but high enough to keep you competitive. Your SAT is fairly solid for these schools, maybe a little low even for Vandy and U Chicago, but w/ your extracurriculars and hard rigor, u've got a very good shot at all of them

    UChicago and Vandy are nearly opposites of each other. What attracts you to both?

    I agree with luminalcoin8. While it's good to have a variety of colleges on your list, try to make sure you'd be a good fit for each if you were to get in. From my understanding, Chicago is more similar to Columbia, NYU, and Brown than it is to Vanderbilt, Duke, and Dartmouth. Look into the social/party scenes at each group; think about which you'd enjoy more.

    @luminalcoin8 and RM1212:
    I know this list about as eclectic as it gets. I was drawn to U of C mostly for the economics department, as that's what I plan on majoring in. I've already applied there EA, but more recently I've learned about the more vibrant social life at school's like Duke and Vandy which piqued my interest. I also visited Dartmouth for a second time and it really shed light on the differences between that institution and more "bookish" schools like U of C. Long story short, I'm not as interested in Chicago as I previously was, but since they're reviewing me anyway I figured I'd ask.
