Chance me for UC's and Stanford

I have a 4.53 W GPA there are no class ranks at my schools, I got a 34 on my ACT. My extracurriculars are football, captain senior year, Shotput. and two clubs, food taxi, a club that delivers a few restaurants leftovers to local soup kitchens and ELS a club Where students help special kids. I have 100+ community service hours and will get pretty good teacher recomondations.

I think you're in at all of the UC's if you're in state which im assuming you are. now Stanford everyone is a reach there but I think with good recs and essays you have a great shot. The weakest part of your resume would clearly be your Community service because people will be applying with ridiculous amounts. Either way you have a good shot, good luck!

Chance me back!

Out of state acceptance rates are actually higher at UCs than for in state (think $). This is why I don't post chance threads. Ignorant people will tell you things that they make up or they think they have the same viewpoint as an admissions officer. My advice is to keep doing what you are doing and find the best school for you.

statlanta, I agree with you for the most part. However, though the OOS admission rate is higher at Berkeley, for instance, OOS also is a stronger applicant pool, so the average SAT scores are actually higher for OOS acceptances than for in state acceptances.

Still, I don't think there is much difference between being an OOS applicant and an in state applicant for UCs, at this point.

My gut reaction is that you have a pretty high chance of getting in the UC's but Stanford is a reach, due to a low amount of ECs. With that said, I urge that you DO NOT completely trust my assessment, considering that I'm just another high school senior myself. In addition, there are vital pieces of information that are either missing or impossible to judge on CC chance threads, including whether or not you are an URM, the strength of your essays, and the competitiveness of your high school.

Best of luck!

Does the ammount of times you take the ACT matter?

UCLA and UCB are most likely matches. Out-of-state was tough for my year, but it has gotten somewhat easier.
