I'm a rising senior from a private high school in SoCal. I'm first-gen American (Mexican-American) and come from a pretty low income household (<20,000). I honestly have no idea what schools would be considered good "matches" for me, so after browsing around this site I figured I'd ask for some advice. I'm looking to go Pre-med but am undecided on what I want to major in. I'm not 100% sure on the pre-med thing either.
ACT: 33 (34 English, 32 Math, 34 Reading, 33 Science, 31 Eng+W)
SAT: 2160 (710 CR, 740 M, 710 W)
APs: Euro (4), Psych (5), Spanish Lang (5), US History (4), Eng Lang (4), Macroecon (5), Biology (5), World History (4)
Subject Tests: Bio M (710), Math II (690)
Current Courses: AP Calc BC, AP Physics, AP Eng Lit, Art, Anatomy, and Religion
GPA: 4.55 W; 4.0 UW
Rank: Top 3 for sure of ~310
ECs: Varsity Swimming, Varsity Boys Basketball Manager, 200+hrs of community service, Student Ambassador, ASB Commissioner, and co-founder of a student-alumni networking group
Work Experience: Kaiser Permanente Educational Outreach Program during the summer (~160 hrs)
Awards: National AP Scholar, AP Scholar w/distinction, National Commended Scholar (PSAT), National Hispanic Scholar, and QuestBridge Finalist
Majors: double major in something like biology and spanish or english; or biomedical engineering w/ a minor
State: CA; private, Catholic school
Income: low (<20,000)
I'm applying to Stanford, ND, Duke, Pomona, Swarthmore, ASU's Barrett Honors College, UCLA, UC Davis, UCSD, and UC Berkeley. So, yea. I was wondering if I could get some advice on what other schools I should look into, if any, and how my chances look for my reach schools.
