Hi : )
I am an international student preparing to study in the US as an undergraduate and a graduate.
I've already asked about the chances to some specific universities.
However, I have another question to ask.
Since it would be my first time in America when I spend my university years, I thought that small- or middle-sized universities or liberal art colleges.
But.....I don't know which ones are adequate to my ability.
Which of the small/middle sized universities or liberal art colleges are my reaches?
Here are my achievements :
-GPA : (not calculated in the grade out of 4.0, yet) around 85%...so mostly B's for the whole year of 10th grade.
-SAT : around 1980 (in the SAT diagnostic exam; didn't take a real SAT test, yet)
-SAT2 : math lev.2c 800; planning to take physics, french w/ listening, chemistry, us history, spanish w/o listening.
-AP : Economics(both Micro/Macro) 5.0; planning to take chemistry, psychology and calculus BC this year; us government&politics, physics, us history, comparative gov't, environmental science, studio art next year.
....no ap courses or "IB"s (whatever that is) are provided from the country I live in.
1) Clubs :- samulnori(traditional instrument band)
-fusion band (western instruments+korean instruments)
-sign-language volunteering club
2) Activities in the Student Body :
-the head of the Voluteer-Work Department
-GLM (Global Leader Monitor - monitoring execution of
school rules; act as public prosecutor in the school
-school president, class president in middle school
3) Volunteer work : -an instuctor in a camp for the disabled
-instructor in an institution for the welfare of the disabled
...not much CAs, contests, volunteer works and internships are available in our country.
-Field I want to major in : Political Science, Law, Economics, Psychology
well//that's about it...not much//but still doing my best to go to the US.
