what do you think are the most important things that help get into college, like national honor society, etc

    Depends on the college.

    The most important factor is your HS transcript. Test scores can be important depending on the school. Outside of this, EC, LOR, and essays can hold a lot of weight. Unfortunately, there is no magic formula that anyone can give you.
