this is what ivys want--this girl in my school got into harvard!!!!!

she's NOT the most outstanding student at our school (she's pretty well-rounded but there are a few ahead of her) but she has alumini connection (which is why she got in).

SAT--740V, 680M so composite is 1420
ACT--31
SAT II's--all in 700s i think
APs--she took ap euro (5), ap us (5), ap eng lang (4 or 5), ap french lang (3)
IBs--standard level music (5)

-International Bacc. Diploma Candidate
-rank: 10/666
-GPA: around 4.4w and 3.9uw (got one "B" throughout all high school)
-principal's and superintendent's honor rolls
-california scholarship federation
-national honor society: historian
-class council
-harvard model congress club
-junior varsity water polo and swimming
-national charity league
-freshman mentor
-best buddies club president
-saferides club co-president
-a couple student of the month awards (maybe 2-3)
-ap scholar
-plays oboe or basson in the wind ensemble
-plays for some special band that is really good (pacific youth symphony?)
-went to china to play b/c she is really good

As you can see this girl is a very good student but isn't good at everything like some other ppl at my school. However, I don't think that she could get in to Harvard without the connection of her father or mother (not sure whichc one)

ok? 5 people from my school got into harvard early.... Which isn't that uncommon usually 7 get in a year. None to MIT early which was surprising. Last year 8 got in total, 10 the year before that.
