Yea, stuff matters
I hate my soph year GPA - probably could have gotten like all 6 of my BS/MD programs that way

but, who needs more than one?

just go where you were accepted, and enjoy the hell out of it/study

raehil99: "everything, i wake up every morning thinking of at least one thing i could change i just wish i had done it right instead of being SO DAMN LAZY"

yeah, i'm filled with regret over all the stuff i could have done better if not for complete laziness. my essays weren't terrible, the informal interview i blew didn't kill my app, and my letters weren't bad. maybe erasing those B's in algebra 2 would be nice, but i said apply to more schools, because that was the one thing i wish the most that i could have done. to go with that, i'd like to raise my sat/act scores a bit, take another subject test (omg, only two, what was i thinking?!?), and then put more effort into my ecs so that i could have accomplished a little more and enjoyed them a little more. now i have five days to decide between four schools that only moderately interest me. anybody else going into engineering, or maybe physics? we can make a time machine and go back to mid-may of '05 (past ap tests... i don't want to take those again) and do it all the right way!

GPA/rank like crazy. Shoulda tried to get more "known" in school cause too cause thats what officer elections are in my school: popularity contests.

I wish I had applied to Georgetown as a French major, not Polysci. I applied EA and got defferred and then sent them a letter changing my major, but i wish i'd done it from the get go. i also wish i had visted more colleges (i.e. shown more interest) and i wish i'd had an interview at wash u.

Mainly, i wish i had applied EDII somewhere i had a shot of getting into instead of hoping in vain i'd miraculously get into UPenn/Brown/Georgetown and wasting the opportunity. instead i got into my bottom three when i might have had a chance with EDII.

i also wish i'd studied more for my math/spanish finals last year. they seriously affected my GPA. :-(

I wish I DID NOT TAKE AS MANY FREAKIN HARD CLASSES.

I know a hard schedule helped, but I wasn't ready for a courseload as rigorous as mine plus my EC's. Getting a 3.7-4.0 taking easy classes would have been SO much better than getting a 3.3-3.4 taking all AP's and AC's.

Yeah me too....I have a 3.5 taking a pretty hard courseload....but I wish I took AP bio and precal instead of precalc honors and phys because phys and precal honors raped me for the last two trimesters. Now I have 3 C's on my otherwise very solid transcript.

i WISH I WOULD HAVE LISTENED, i still remember freshman orientation when our principal said that freshman year is very important. IF i would have listened my gpa wouldn't be so low, a 3.2, mainly because i slacked off so much freshman and sophmore year. atleast i still have my 4.0 weighted.

Nothing, life takes everyone where they should be, and in terms of college, I'm of the philosophy that you'll end up where you fated to be. So I say live life the best you can and sit back and enjoy the ride.

thats easy for you to say when you got into all the schools you applied to!!! There are some of us did not have quite such good luck... but i'm still psyched for my school, even if it wasn't my first choice.

not slacking off last semester (first semester of junior year). i worked so hard freshman and sophomore year that i got tired of school and REALLY slacked off. i dropped two ranks from 4 to 6 and that was the semester that i took PSAT and did really bad (compared to my SAT score). and overall it hurt my GPA. and i guess participate in more clubs/EC that noone takes part in so can get leadership positions......

i guess basically change my whole semester before winter.

(currently still a junior who has learned from her mistakes and is working her butt off to bring GPA back up and feels like a loser to get fed up with everthing the year grades count the most..)

Applying to the schools I wanted EA so I didn't have to wait. Instead, I applied to two schools I didn't want to go to Early, and had to wait a really long time.
