I wouldn't change a thing. If I get in, I get in. If I don't, I don't. I'll apply to some good bets, a safety, and a reach. No Ivy League for me and my 3.29 GPA, but I don't care! All I want is an unforgettable experience at a small liberal arts school or women's college---Who needs Yale when you have Hendrix? |

I wish I had developed better time management in high school. I was an unbelievably amazing student in middle school, but in high school I began to sleep less and less and let my grades slip. My high school is in Plano, one of the most competitive regions in the US (or so I like to believe), and 0.001 in GPA can raise you up twenty ranks. In ninth grade, I didn't max out five out of fifteen (we had an extra world history h class for humanities) courses, and it made a whole world of difference on my weighted GPA, not to mention while considering the mandatory regular credits (comm aps, health, pe foundations, pe).

My SAT or ACT scores
Definitely. Wish I had done more prep and could have raised them a few more points.

I am passionate about my extracurriculars, however I do not have an activity that reflects my interest in the medical sciences and consequently, I do not have a theme for my applications.

I do not like to think about this, because I don't believe in regrets. A friend of mine once told me- life is like a rollercoaster, just throw your hands up and enjoy the ride. I agree with this statement.
that being said, i will take the time to reflect upon this once, publicly, so that people can learn from my mistakes and i can have an outlet to reflect and get this out once and for all.
i wish i'd worked hard, taken all the opportunities available to me, and taken the may SAT (i got cocky after seeign my april scores and decided not to- stupid me)
Had i worked harder i'm sure i could have a 95 average, considering the grades i'm getting now in the hardest schedule i have ever taken. I also had SOOOOOO many opportunities. I should have taken the business classes my high school offers, for instance. This also would have all but assured me the presidency of the stock market club. I also had the opportunity to PUBLISH MY OWN RESEARCH but i did the easy thing and let that opportunity pass by as well. HAd i taken the SAT that extra time I'm sure i could've broken 1400. I was so lazy and naive, i made so many excuses for myself. I should have recognized my full potential because I'm sure that i am easily as intelligent as almsot anybody in ym class. I simply was too stupid and lazy to realize my gifts, and instead took them for granted.
OH WELL!
College is a fresh start and my opportunity to realize my potential and make up for the time i spent slacking off. After all, i am still applying to some pretty good schools. I think i will be okay in the end.

I wish I didn't take advanaced classes in 8th grade cause now I got a 3.0 on my transcript from that year. Freshman year was no better with a 3.3.. This year I am hoping to get a 3.8ish, and by end of junior year average 3.5-3.6. Although I am not doing so hot this first quarter because I missed two weeks out of the first two and did horrible on some tests when I got back.
My e/c's and rigor is fantastic though, and I am kind of a natural test taker, it's just those freaking early years
i didn't care about college as a freshman/8th grader, I got 100 on my bio regents as well as this advanced test that everyone has to take to see if they can get into AP bio (traditionaly only given to juniors, I was a 8th grader and was the only one to get a 100 out of 100+ kids at a competitive school) and my teacher said I might be able to get a perfect score as a 8th grader on the SAT II but of course I said.. why would i take a test when i don't have to? now i am self studying for 2 ap's trying to dig myself out of a hole, as well as taking the bio SAT II, got a perfect on the practice after not looking material over for 3 years |
