| The usual fare: chances, chances + more chances for the great-but-not-insane schools
Chinese male in Colorado (Born in Sichuan China, moved to Israel 1997 and then US 2001) soon-to-be-senior

ACT- 35 (36 E, 35 M, 36 R, 34 S)
Unweighted Cumulative GPA-3.918
Weighted - 3.998 (my school has a strange weight system; .002 extra GPA for every AP credit, and school has no honor classes, only 2 "pre-AP" English courses)
Freshman GPA- 3.75
Sophomore GPA - 4.0 (1 AP class + 1 Pre-AP)
Current GPA - 4.0 (4 AP Classes + 1 Pre-AP )
SAT IIs:
Chinese - 800
World History - 800
Math II - 760
Chemistry - 690
APs:
Statistics - 5
Human Geography - 5
US history - 5
World History (self study) -5
European History - 5
Macroeconomics -5
Microeconomics - 5
English Language(self study) - 4
Next year's classes:
Physics
AP Physics B
Cell Biology
AP English Lit
AP US Gov
AP Comparative Gov
AP Calc AB
AP Calc BC
AP Psychology (online)
Computer Programming class at Colorado State University
ECs:
Competing for Future Business Leaders of America
Officer for Math, Engineering, Science Club
International Club Officer
NHS tutor
Studying Chinese and history privately
200+ hourse volunteering in Public Library
150-200 hours doing experiments in Colorado State University (on plant genetics)
I'm considering (thinking about Computer Sci/Economics/History, other wise undecided):
Stanford (Big reach, right?)
Cornell U
Washington U St. Louis
University of Wisconsin: Madison
Colorado State University/CU-Boulder (I think I got this one in the bag)
UC Berkeley
Carnegie Mellon
Any other college suggestions would be good too.
Thanks for reading.

I just think that I'm kinda average for Stanford, especially my ECs....
Chicago? Anybody know how good their CS program is? I know they've got one of the top Economics programs in the world.

Stanford - Big reach
Cornell U - Reach
Washington U St. Louis - Reach
University of Wisconsin: Madison - Match
Colorado State University/CU-Boulder - Safety
UC Berkeley - what flopsy wrote
Carnegie Mellon - Match
Both Cornell and Wash U are reasonable reaches. Stanford is, well, not a reasonable reach for you given your stats.

Definitely send in your ACT scores...
The hard thing about your application is that you're out of state. If you were in state it would have been an guarantee for UCLA CS. However, you still have a big chance of getting into UCLA CS. Berkeley EECS, not so much, Cornell, even less, and Stanford, is like you said, a long shot. However, the thing is, your application loaded, yet not superb. So, I wouldn't be surprised if you got in or not for any of the schools.
However, I think you will be admitted to UCLA and Washington, St. Louis. Berkeley, Cornell, and Carnegie Mellon, you have a big chance. Others, I have no idea. Good luck.
