Mainly, yes...but as one of those Texans who live in a rural area (town population of roughly 5,000 in East Texas), I know that there are strong liberals all over Texas.

...and they aren't just black, either. In case you thought about coming back with that argument as well.

D&G -- You listed all of your AP scores in 7 different subjects, but how many of those classes/tests had you taken when you applied? Are some of those classes that you took in your senior year?

I'm not exactly a graduated senior yet but I'll share a profile of a student who graduated in '05.

SAT I 1600 (800 on both sections)
SAT II 800 Math IIC 800 Writing 780 Chemistry
ACT 34
GPA 4.0 when he applied
EC/activities/awards
Math Club, State Math awards, 1st chair Trombone and Varsity Cross Country and Track, Science Olympiad medals, National Latin Exam perfect score and gold medals, National Merit Finalist and some cultural convention at WIlliams College.

Accepted: University of Michigan, Carleton, Middlebury, Grinnell
Rejected: MIT, Williams
