Well, I wouldn't say it's anything like affirmative action. However, they're looking for diversity, and I don't think they just want Asian nerds with their heads stuck in math books. Just kidding But it still holds true. Colleges need balance.

SHE GOT REJECTED FROM ANYWHERE? Are there more perfect people!? She's the President of 3 clubs, almost perfect SATI score, perfect SATII scores in everything she took, perfect GPA... what the heck is going on with Cornell and Princeton? What do they want, a freakin' Nobel prize winner?

I'm sure her recommendations were fine, along with her interviews. It may have been her essays. She can write well, but not like those people who have their essays published in college admissions books.
