| Wow! That was helpful. But he is an URM. So, that doesn't really apply. Thanks just the same. I was looking for non-recruits, non-legacy, non-URMs. Sigh...not sure if it will work even though my D's ACT SATs are about the same. |

| his is a URM but many URMs get rejected with higher stuff....he probably had or did something else that was important |

Rejected: Berkeley. I'm still bitter about that.
GPA: 3.8 UW/4.5 W
SAT I: 2200 total, 760 math, 730 reading, 710 writing.
SAT II: 740 math II, 790 chem
Rank: maybe top 12.5%, probably lower.
Transcript: 6 sciences, 4 maths, which were all AP or honors, and regular track english.

Placed in National Chem Olympiad twice, participated in Science Olympiad, ASB, school orchestra, school marching band, community orchestra
400+ hours at hospital volunteering
80 hours with land conservancy

Applied as chemical engineering major. Probably why I got rejected from Berkeley, but still.

| Well, I thought it was an OBVIOUS exaggeration, but why would you put that you have a 4.83 gpa (what a random number)? Or why not put you were Native American or Hispanic or a more obviously underrepresented minority? Or apply to all the Ivies instead of just a few?
